From concerts in gospel, jazz and R&B to storytelling, crafts, poetry, and visual arts, the Moja festival allows you to become part of the culture.

Mark off the third Saturday in September every year, to experience life as a Scott or a Celt for a day! The Scottish Games and Highland Gathering is quite a spectacle. Taking place at Boone Hall Plantation, the air will ring with piping bands playing traditional Scottish music. Enjoy seeing Scotland’s heavy athletics, Border collie demonstrations, and a plethora of other activities. Perhaps the South’s most beloved of all; the Spoleto Festival takes over Charleston for 17 days and nights every May. The doors to the city’s historic churches, theater’s and outdoor area’s are opened annually to the wide range of eclectic arts. As well as displaying the talents of established artists, the Spoleto Festival also provides young artists with the forum to showcase their talents. The inspired performances that emerge every year are something for the eye to behold. Participating in this beloved experience is something you definitely don’t want to miss.
