Heres How to Get a Pay Rise with Distance Learning

By: LarryChrisausb

Distance learning programs can be propagated using either audio or visual media. You can listen to an instructor through an audiotape in a distance learning setting. Satellite broadcasts are also one way through which distance learning can be propagated.

Most instructors use recorded audio and visual material because it gives them enough room to speak as extensively as they want to. You can get an elaborate lecture from your distance learning instructor, thanks to recorded visual and audio materials. Recorded media however come with the disadvantage of limiting interaction between the instructor and the teacher.

Distance education is specially designed for those who find it difficult or impossible to physically be in college. They can go online to apply for courses of their choice in the very schools that they want to attend. Then they can sit back and enjoy correspondence via various media from the comfort of their living rooms.

Because they cannot attend courses in person, teachers and students try to communicate at times of their own choosing by exchanging printed or electronic media. This is the concept of distance learning. Modern technology now allows communication in real time like never before, propounding the system.

There are synchronous and asynchronous ways to transmit correspondence between teachers and their students. They are practiced largely for distance learning by all ranges of institutions. Phones, voice and Internet chat, etc., are synchronous; while email, video and audio cassette recordings, CD dubbings, etc., are asynchronous.

Having to be at the computer or on the phone for protracted periods has its own drawbacks. Aches, cramps, etc., are perhaps some of the simpler issues. Medical conditions developed in the process are other more serious ones. This makes many distance education pursuant prefer the asynchronous approach to receiving correspondence.

Distance learning deviates from an on campus learning in the sense that there is no teacher present. Distance learning setting is a kind of ‘me, myself and I’ thing that involves the student corresponding with his instructor without seeing him or her the whole time. Distance learning can be commenced without the physical presence of a teacher.

The limitations of time and space can demand that asynchronous technology be used to transmit correspondence between lecturers and their distance learning students. Considering that it can be quite a hassle trying to get everyone around at the same time, there might be not better choice. Besides, this approach really is convenient.
