It is true that the stock market can offer some very high returns on investment but is also is a very volatile and dangerous investment for the non-professional.

Returns on investment in residential property have outperformed just about every other form of investment over the last 30 years, and with far lower volatility.

UK property has enjoyed sharp rises in prices which were fuelled by increasing demand, however rental values have not matched these rises which has resulted in a downturn in demand from UK investors in the buy-to-let market which has experienced a dramatic slowdown in the last few years. This has led to many investors looking towards the overseas property market.

UK investors are now seeking investments in both established and emerging markets including Spain, Caribbean, Bulgaria, Brazil, Egypt, United Arab Emirates, Panama, Mexico and Thailand.
